Agave Enables Easy and Secure Integration with Autodesk Construction Cloud

Construction software vendors can now integrate their applications with BIM 360 in hours; Buildup named as launch partner.

May 3rd, 2022 – Santa Barbara, CA – Agave, the unified API provider for construction, today announced an integration with BIM 360®, a construction management software that is part of Autodesk Construction Cloud®, a portfolio of software and services that combines advanced technology, a builders network and predictive insights for construction teams.

Construction companies often have dozens or hundreds of projects at a time and can use three or more software systems per project. Unless their systems support integrations, employees must manually transfer data between applications and risk working from incomplete or outdated information. In order to save time spent on manual data transfer and communicate project information in a timely manner, integrations are a must-have for construction software. Agave makes building these integrations easier.

With the launch of this integration, Agave provides a new, easy, and secure way for construction software companies to create integrations between their applications and the information customers manage in BIM 360. Using Agave, other construction software developers can stand-up integrations that read data such as Projects, Companies, Users, Issues, RFIs, Contracts, and Change Orders from BIM 360 and write Issues and Change Orders back to BIM 360 with as little as hours of development work.

Agave’s launch partner is Buildup, a Stanley X portfolio company and provider of an innovative, easy-to-use collaboration tool for task management, punch list and inspections. With the Agave integration, Buildup customers can now import their BIM 360 Projects, Companies, Members, and Locations in a few clicks, saving hours of transferring data manually, and doing any duplicative data entry.

Project Import

Buildup customers can now import projects from Autodesk Construction Cloud’s BIM 360.

“Working with Agave has allowed us to significantly reduce the time it takes to integrate into Autodesk’s system by automating previously manual processes and reducing the burden on our internal resources. Having an API integration with BIM 360 allows our customers to easily import their project data directly into Buildup without having to do any data export/import or duplicative work. Having this integration with Autodesk allows our customers to spend more time in the field and focus on the important tasks at hand.” said Stephen Haskin, General Manager, Buildup.

“Autodesk Construction Cloud offers customers a large and growing ecosystem of technology tools that integrate with our platform,” said James Cook, Director, Partner Integrations, Autodesk Construction Solutions. “With Agave, we can help make the integration process even easier than before for resource-constrained software developers and, in turn, construction teams can unlock the value of additional integrations.”
